Pansit is a delicious dish! But did you know that if
you squeeze just the right amount of lemon or lime onto it, mix it altogether,
Pansit becomes perfect? So does sweet tea. Sweet tea is good by itself. But if
you squeeze the right amount of lemon juice into it, Sweet tea lemonade just
becomes the business!
Lemon by itself is sour. You can't even get past the first drop without struggling to keep your face straight. But if added onto something, it enhances the many layers of flavors. It sweetens the sweet and makes the savory even more delicious. Bottom line is it makes many dishes even more satisfying!
Our problems may seem enormous at the moment. But compared to the sweet stuff in life, they are but a tiny sprinkle. Without our problems, we won't be able to cherish the great memories we have, savor great victories and reminisce life. Problems by themselves cause pain and suffering. But they are momentary because problems are not meant to be taken at face value. They are meant to enhance the good things in our lives. They are meant to make us stronger. They make everyday more compelling to be lived. They make every minute valuable. They make every second count.
And if you don't know yet, lemons, as sour as they are, are actually good for you. They contain vitamins that reinforce your immune system so you can fight for another day. It cleanses and removes impurities. Kinda like problems huh? Ever wonder why problems seem to make you stronger for the next fight and somehow purges unnecessary fear, doubts and anxiety? Because just like lemon, problems are rigged with stamina-boosters so you can face the next challenge just a few clicks stronger and a few notches wiser. You just need to know how to make use of it!!!
I don't have a perfect life. I have my own lemons. I may not be as vocal as others. But trust me, I have them! One thing though I have learned is that I am an "Expert Lemonade Connoisseur" in the making. Do I have it all together? No!!! Even an expert shooter is allowed a certain percentage of error when taking the test! It just means God is teaching me day by day to take each lemon one day at a time and see it beyond its sourness.
So chin up! Wake up and smell the fresh scent of lemon!!! As the old saying goes, "When life throws you lemons, make lemonade!" You'll be surprised how life is much more worth living!
Buona Giornata!
